Each utility district offers rebates and incentives (congregations are usually categorized as small businesses) for energy efficiency improvements such as installing compact fluorescent light bulbs, lighting sensors, new appliances or solar panels. CIPL offers several energy efficiency programs to its members. Many also offer free energy audits to congregations. Most utilities also offer low-income energy assistance; please contact them for specific program details. Some cities are also offering energy efficiency rebate programs that are usually available to congregations (see second list below).
