CO2 levels highest now than in, at least, 2.1 million years
Scientists attribute current global warming to humanity’s actions (the burning of fossil fuels) by pointing to the rise of of CO2/equivalent in the atmosphere. Prior to the Industrial Revolution, the level of CO2 and equivalent greennhouse gases was roughly 280ppm. It now stands at almost 390ppm. A strong correllary has been shown between the level of CO2 and global temperature; thus, a rise is CO2 means a rise in temperature.
